According to the American Latex Allergy Association, about 1% of people in society are allergic to latex. Patients who come into contact with latex (generally the proteins found in all rubber) may experience redness, itching, and in severe cases, even a burning sensation and pain. Therefore, if you feel uncomfortable using latex condoms, you should try non-latex products. These materials include PU (polyurethane), PI, and even lambskin! Ultimately, these are newer and better materials, so there's no reason not to give them a try!
