日本相模橡膠工業研究員指花了逾十年時間研究超輕型聚氨酯物料，才能製成這款全球最薄安全套，並進行了逾2萬個安全套壓力測試，才確保產品可讓人安全使用。

研究員現正致力研究更薄的安全套，「只要市場需要更薄的安全套，我們將會繼續研究厚0.008毫米及0.009毫米的安全套」。
